VSP offers a 75/25 percent cost share reimbursement program to approved projects that have no other funding and a 50/50 cost share on the uncovered portion of projects with other outside funding. The landowner with work with the Conservation District to develop the project. All upfront costs are the landowners responsibility, once the project has been completed and all relevant requirements are met then reimbursement checks are mailed.

VSP projects MUST be related to agriculture in some way and provide benefits to one of the five critical areas. Example: High waters have eroded a streambank and irrigation infrastructure is now threatened. VSP funds could be used to stabilize the streambank. Flooding that has eroded a streambank near a private residence would not qualify for VSP funds.

Anyone who is involved with agriculture that believes they have a resource concern (fencing, watering facility, erosion, etc)
